Session 1 -  Duration: 1 Hour - Tuesday ,September 21, 2021 @ 3:00PM

Topic: QuickBooks Setup - Creating QuickBooks Chart of Accounts as per Estimates of Expenditure Approved by the Ministry of Education).

This session will also cover Creating Class List, Service Items, Inventory (Items for Resale by Tuckshop, etc) and Non-Inventory Items (Items purchase for use by the school).


Session 2 -  Duration: 1 Hour - Wednesday, September 22, 2021 @3:00pm

Topic: Planning and Budgeting (Creating and Budget in QuickBooks as per Estimates of Expenditure Approved by the Ministry of Education).

- Monitoring the Budgeted vs Actual Expenditure

Session 3 -  Duration: 1 Hour - Thursday, September 23, 2021 @3:00pm

Topic: Vendors and Accounts payable 

This session will cover the procurement process (Purchasing), Receiving Items purchase by the school, Entering and paying bills, and Printing Cheques for QuickBooks.

Session 4 - Duration: 1 Hour - Friday, September 24, 2021 @ 1:00PM

Topic: Customers/Students and Accounts Receivables

This session will focus on batch invoicing multiple students (eg. Invoicing 1,000 students in 10 minutes for Fees). We will also look at receiving grant payments from MOE and how to account for them in QuickBooks.

The session will also cover receiving student fees against the invoice and generating a compliance report for fees payable.

Session 5 - Generating a Statement of Financial Position/ Balance Sheet: Duration: 1 Hour - Tuesday, September 28, 2021 @3:00pm

A) Working with Fixed Asset Inventory Listing in QuickBooks
B) Working with Fixed Assets purchased by the School
C) Fixed Asset Depreciation


Session 6 - Duration: 1 Hour - Wednesday, September 29, 2021 @3:00PM

Topic: Banking

a) Entering unpresented cheques and opening balance (If you are new to QuickBooks
b)Understanding the Undeposited Funds Account
c) How QuickBooks assist in Lodging Funds Intact (As per FAA Act).
d) Understanding the Cash Back Feature in QuickBooks
e) Reconciling Bank Accounts
f) How to write back Stale-Dated Cheques

Session 7 - Duration: 1 Hour - Thursday, September 30, 2021 @3:00pm

Topics: Reporting and Data Security

a) Using QuickBooks to generate reports required by the Board and the Ministry of Education
